Setup Instructions:
Place the object that you want to rotate somewhere in your scene. It can be in it's own layer or in the same layer that will hold the Rotation Gadget. NOTE: In order for the Rotation Gadget to work correctly it has to be in a layer named, "Layer". The layer that contains the Rotation Gadget cannot be named anything else. In the included sample everything is setup in one layer named, "Layer".
After your objects are setup, right-click on the Layer and select, "Import Component", and browse to the "Rotation Gadget.amc" component included in this zip.
After the Rotation Gadget component is imported to the Layer, double-click on the component to go inside the component.
Once you're in the component, look in the slide palette and select the "Active" slide. Next, in the timeline expand out the "Rotation Gadget" group and then the "Earth Gadget" group. Select the "Tumble Earth Camera" behavior and in the Inspector Palette use the "Controlled Object" property to select the object you want to rotate. In the included sample I'm rotating the 747 airplane.
That's it! Preview the presentation to see it in action.
