If you’re like me you have a lot going on. You are juggling 10 projects at one time, you use a lot of software tools, you program in a few languages and you don’t have enough room to shove one more thing into your brain. If you’re also like me you are getting pretty darn tired of going to Help > Scripting Reference, clicking on the “Search Box” and entering in the same thing you’ve entered in a million times because you know where the knowledge is but you can’t seem to commit it to memory. If this sounds just like you, “Doc Search” for Unity will make your life that much easier.
Doc Search can be docked
like any other Unity tab
Just import the “Doc Search” package into your project and then save or restart Unity and you will find a new menu item named “Pixelplacement” which contains “Doc Search”. Once launched you can dock “Doc Search” just like any other tab in Unity.
All searches are saved in a persistent, destroyable history that will repopulate between sessions for repeated searching.
