标题: Hybrid Framework for Blendshape Manipulations
1 Introduction

We propose a hybrid blendshape manipulation framework to accelerate

the face posing process. The hybrid framework enables interactive

edits with direct manipulation and face-constraint-relaxation,

which also avoid face geometry distortion during operations. An

underlying primitive in this framework is a constraint blendshape

model, which operates indirectly sliders by solving a simple least

square problem. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our framework

with a few application results.

2 Hybrid framework

The overview of our hybrid framework is as follows (see Figure 1).

The direct manipulation provides an intuitive pin-and-drag interface

where the user can specify the position constraints. The face

constraint-relaxation is the operation of reducing the distortion of

the whole face. The conventional slider manipulation is also allowed

for more precise control. Our hybrid approach provides a

flexible way to select the editing interface, depending on the artist’s

purpose or intension.

3 Constrained blendshape model

Constrained blendshape model combines the direct manipulation

and the face constraint-relaxation with the slider manipulation. A

blendshape facial model will be notated f = Bw + b0, where f is

the represented face model containing the positions of each of the n

vertices, B are the m delta blendshape bases, w are the blendshape

weights, b0 is the neutral face. The face pose changes are driven

by a blendshape weight change w, so that w is constrained

by input from the artist. This is optimized by a least square problem

composed of energy functions that specify the constraints as

described below.
