We are trying to support the learning of Japanese traditional
dances with use of technologies such as motion capture and
3D images.
We created educational 3D-CG footage of Japanese traditional
arts. Then we created two 3D stereoscopic vision animations with
different methods and showed them to 187 students who were not
very familiar with traditional arts and also to 18 successors of
traditional arts. After that, we collected their opinions about
expected effects and problems of educational use of 3D
stereoscopic vision as well as about the difference between the
two methods.
2. Results
2.1 High school students
Among high school students, the focus of choice was on
immersion and reality on one hand, and convenience on the other
hand (table 1,table2). These results suggest that aided 3D images
are more effective when education needs to be provided in a more
