这里是落基山研究所的创始人Amory Lovins的宅邸，位于美国科罗拉多州。由于安装了被动式太阳能、4.8米厚的墙、带有氙气的窗户和木火炉，整座房子每月的电费只花5美元。房顶上安了很多太阳能板，院子里还有一个种植热带水果的被动式温室大棚。

这座1982年建成的房屋在建成之初就在节能方面处处领先，最近还采用了发光二极管和最新的能源监测科技等环保措施。
