(This document covers version 2.7.1 of the 'Collision Shell' behavior, current as of 2005-Feb-11)
Description
Attach this behavior to objects which should act ‘solid’ when interacting with the Collider for Simulations, Collider for Walkthroughs, and Grounded behaviors.
This behavior and its parent object both fire the
Collided With
event whenever a collider hits the parent object.
The elasticity setting is used by
Collider for Simulations
to determine how strongly the collider should bounce when hitting this shell. (See the description in
Collider for Simulations
for more information.)
If
Flash on Collision?
is checked, the parent object will have its diffuse color set to the
Flash Color
for one frame whenever a collider hits the parent.
Basic Properties
Apply to Children?
Cause all child models/groups to also be collision shells?
Advanced Properties
Elasticity
Elasticity of this object, scales the velocity of objects colliding with this.
Flash on Collision?
Flash to a color when an object collides with the parent?
Flash Color
Color to flash when an object collides with the parent.
Use Backsides?
Use the backside of faces as well as the front for collision detection?
