On December 30, 2015 the Ministry of Education and Science of the Astrakhan region ordered to reorganize AECI into a state autonomous higher educational institution “Astrakhan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering” (ASUACE). The change of its status was a result of the university acknowledgment as higher educational establishment offering students innovative education of the highest level with the best old school traditions.
Today the university has 10 specialized departments, united into four faculties: construction, architectural, economical and engineering and fire safety faculties.
